Y2Y Breaks Ground for Teen Homeless Shelter

New Haven, CT — Y2Y Network in conjunction with Youth Continuum broke ground recently on the first homeless shelter in the city addressing the needs of a population desperately underserved in the 18-24 age range.   Youth Continuum is partnering with Y2Y to transform its facility on Grand Ave in to a 20 bed facility offering wrap around services to help this vulnerable population.   Steve Inglese was grateful to serve on the building committee an offer some assistance through the development process for this program.   Y2Y is a Yale student (https://yhhap.org/y2y-new-haven) run program that was spear headed by Sam Greenberg in a program that mirrored a similar venture in Cambridge, MA.  More can be read on the recent ground breaking in a recent New Haven Independent article.
