Hubbell Headquarters purchased by The University of New Haven

Orange - July 2013 -  The University of New Haven has purchased the former Hubbell Incorporated Headquarters in Orange for $3.025 million.  It will be the new graduate campus for the College of Business.  

The property consists of 3 office buildings for a total of 70,000 sf of 47 acres.  It is situated along the Wilbur Cross Parkway for easy access from Hartford and Fairfield Counties, as well as New Haven.  

Hubbell moved their headquarters to a 110,000 sf building in Shelton.  In 2010 Hubbell had proposed to build 200 homes on their 420 acres.  The Town of Orange did not approve the project.  They have since sold 376 acres to the Town of Orange for $7.1 million.  The town will be using the property for recreational purposes.
