New Haven, CT - A prime port area industrial/warehouse located at 31 Waterfront Street sold on September 12, 2011. The 120,000 s/f warehouse built in 2002 was sold to New Haven Terminal and the seller was Coastline Terminals of CT. The property sold for $3,975,000 ($33/sf) in this off market transaction. The building is located across the street from the Harbor and was not heated or cooled.
Also, the state of Connecticut has made a push to increase business in the port as reported by Governor Malloy's office. The port already contributes about $2.7 billion in state GDP and the governor is looking to expand that through an action plan for growth.
